Ercolano is very similar to Pompeii with the difference that some rich people moved 20 Km away from Pompeii along sea shoreline, to build for them villas and wonderful houses. Those villas are painted with only two colors, Pompeian red, and black, made out of the soil.
Nowadays, hundreds of villas are still buried in the lava, but the most interesting is one 230 meters long, that is coming to light piece by piece, they recovered just 23 meters of it.
